First off, I had to show off my new title/logo for my blog. And secondly, I think it's time I stop procrastinating on this and put my Booktube-A-Thon TBR together!
So, I obviously will not be doing the vlog challenges since I don't have a booktube channel, so I will only be doing as much of the reading challenges as I can. In case you want to see the video where all the challenges are revealed, click right here.
But, I can guarantee you guys that there will be absolutely no way I will be able to do all of these challenges. The main reason is that I am surprisingly busy (and I am mostly talking about near the end of the weekend where I will not be on my computer, or at least on the internet, for like a day and a half; but I will talk more about that in a mid-way progress during booktube-a-thon. But, I'm going to give a warning that I will probably fail this hard. Anyway, let's talk about the TBR!
I will try my best to complete all the challenges, and here they are:
1. A book with pictures.
Now, this one is kind of hard because I own like no manga and no books that have pictures in them, I am most likely going to be skipping this one. But I will probably go for the Clockwork Prince manga, but I don't think I will.
EDIT: I just realized that I also have Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs because I have been wanting to read it for like 5ever so I'll get it done here.
2. Start and finish a series.
Oh boy, now this is the one that gets everyone in the TBRs, especially me because, as many of you know, I mostly need to finish series. I think I am going to go for is
the Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo, I was originally going to marathon this trilogy in September, but then I realized that I won't have time to do it and I really want to read it, so I will get to this.
EDIT: Okay, so there is a pretty good chance I won't finish the ENTIRE seires because I have the borrow the last two at the library and so I won't get to Ruin and Rising until AFTER the Booktube-a-Thon unless I am lucky, but I am counting this either way.
3. A book with red on the cover.
Originally when I heard that, I was thinking of reading Paper Towns by John Green, but I want to save that for August when I am hoping to read all the contemporaries. So I think I'm going to go for:
Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge
4. A book someone else picks out for you.
I decided to combine two challenges! Look below to see the pick.
5. A book from the genre you've read the least this year.
I keep on thinking that it is contemporary, but I might be wrong. -does the math- I am wrong. It is Science Fiction. Hmm...You know what, I'm just going to ask my good friend Kitty on goodreads to picked either These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman and
Meagan Spooner or Alienated by Melissa Landers, so it can knock out two challenges.
Okay, so Kitty picked: Alienated by Melissa Landers and I am very excited to get to this, I have heard nothing but good things about it (especially from Sasha at ABookUtopia) and I can't wait to read it!
6. A book to movie adaptation
This one was a little bit tricky, but I thought it over. And I am going to finally (hopefully) tackle down, Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead. I am like the only person on Earth who has not yet read this book so I need to do that, and also I want to see the movie so. Bam!
7. Read seven books or an average of 300 pages.
I'm going to fail this challenge, I already know it! But, inbetween those or in case I finish all of those, I am going to finish: Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas, I have been reading this book for about a month and I am still like forty pages into this so I need to finish it now and then when August comes I'll read Crown of Midnight and then Heir of Fire. That's the plan and I hope it doesn't back-fire and explode in my face.
What's on your Booktube-a-Thon TBR, or what do you plan on reading during Booktube-a-Thon?
Cool picks! I, too, am planning on reading Ms. Peregrine's. Good luck, and stay positive :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, I hope to at least complete two of these challenges and I might also change all of these in the middle of the week except for Alienated.
DeleteGreat picks! Good luck too :) Grisha is a really quick series to get through. I finished the first two each in a day!
ReplyDeleteThanks Rach! I probably won't be able to read them all because I have to wait for Ruin & Rising, I might read the first two next week and wait to read the third one. Good luck to you too!
